Our Story

Family owned and operated since 1997, Stevens Marine has been serving boaters in Michigan City, Indiana, and the surrounding area for nearly three decades. What began with a family background in boat sales, manufacturing, and mechanical repair grew into a business of its own, built around the same hands-on knowledge and commitment to doing things the right way. Today, Stevens Marine is a full-service marina offering secure boat storage along with a comprehensive range of marine services.

At Stevens Marine, we understand that your boat is a significant investment and that keeping it in good condition takes more than occasional maintenance. Our goal is to provide the services boat owners need throughout the year, from routine maintenance and seasonal preparation to repairs, detailing, and storage. Our team takes a personal approach to every project, with an emphasis on honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship.

Our services cover a wide range of boating needs. We provide secure indoor and outdoor boat storage, dockside assistance, fiberglass repair, insurance repairs, battery replacements, bottom painting, oil changes, boat detailing, engine installations, outdrive services, de-winterization, pressure washing, gelcoat refinishing, and propeller repairs. We also provide boat launch and haul out services to help make getting your vessel in and out of the water safe and efficient.

Fiberglass repair is a particular specialty at Stevens Marine. Whether your boat has experienced impact damage, wear, or other fiberglass issues, our team focuses on restoring the vessel's strength, appearance, and function. We also provide industrial shrink wrapping to help protect boats and equipment from weather, debris, and exposure during storage.

Being family owned and operated is an important part of who we are. Stevens Marine was built from generations of practical experience with boats and marine equipment, and that background continues to influence the way we approach our work. We believe in providing a personal touch rather than treating customers and their boats like just another job on a schedule.

Our commitment is simple: provide honest service, pay attention to the details, and do the work the right way. Whether your boat needs seasonal maintenance, a repair after an unexpected incident, preparation for the next boating season, or a secure place to stay between trips, Stevens Marine is here to help.

With a broad range of marine services available under one roof, we make it easier for boat owners throughout the greater Michigan City area to keep their vessels maintained, protected, and ready for the water.
